DOLPHINS WR DEPTH CHART: HOW ODELL BECKHAM JR. FITS ALONGSIDE TYREEK HILL, JAYLEN WADDLE IN MIAMI'S OFFENSE
The dust has settled on much of the NFL's offseason movement with the draft in the rearview mirror, but a few notable free agents remained unsigned entering May. One of the biggest is now off the board.
The Dolphins agreed to a deal with WR Odell Beckham Jr. on Friday, adding the three-time Pro-Bowler to a talented group of weapons surrounding QB Tua Tagovailoa.
Beckham spent 2023 with the Ravens after sitting out all of 2022 while recovering from the second ACL tear of his career. While Beckham only finished with 565 yards, he flashed solid efficiency with 16.1 yards per catch as a veteran piece of an excellent Baltimore offense.

Odell Beckham Jr. contract details
The Dolphins gave Beckham a one-year, $3 million contract that can be worth up to $8.25 through incentives, according to ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques. The agreement was first reported by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
It's a prove-it deal for Beckham, who signed what was effectively a one-year deal with a base salary of $15 million in Baltimore last offseason. This contract comes with only a fraction of the guarantees, but Beckham can make up some of the difference with more than $5 million available in incentives.
The Dolphins will be Beckham's fifth NFL team, as he's moved around a bit since the Giants traded him to Cleveland in 2019. Beckham started his career with five 1,000-yard seasons in his first six years, but his 565 yards in 2023 marked his highest total since 2019. Injuries, including ACL tears in the same knee just 16 months apart, were largely responsible.
After playing 14 of 17 games with the Ravens last season, Beckham appears to be content to play a complementary role in Miami. Here's a look at how he fits.
Dolphins WR depth chart
1. Tyreek Hill
Hill is only about a year younger than Beckham, but Hill is the Dolphins' clear No. 1 receiver until he isn't. The former Chiefs star posted 1,799 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023, even while battling through an injury late in the season, and he's already 11th in franchise history in receiving yards despite having played only two seasons in Miami.
2. Jaylen Waddle
Waddle saw his efficiency dip a bit in 2023, but he remains a No. 1 receiver playing a No. 2 role alongside Hill.
The former No. 6 pick had 1,014 yards and four touchdowns over 14 games last season, after posting 1,356 yards and eight touchdowns in 2022. Waddle became eligible for a long-term contract extension earlier this offseason.

3. Odell Beckham Jr.
Beckham put together a mostly healthy season in 2023, which allowed him to extend his career. While 565 yards isn't the kind of number he's accustomed to, Beckham did average a career-best 16.1 yards per game in a loaded offense and could similarly thrive in a smaller role with defenses forced to pay attention to both Hill and Waddle.
4. Braxton Berrios
Cedrick Wilson Jr. was a distant third among Dolphins wide receivers last season, topping out at 296 yards, but he's no longer with the team. Braxton Berrios does remain on the roster, however, and has proven to be a valuable gadget player as both a returner and a receiver.
Berrios finished with 238 yards and a touchdown in 2023, and he has 1,323 yards over five seasons between the Jets and Dolphins.
5. River Cracraft
With De'Von Achane and Raheem Mostert possessing pass-catching ability out of the backfield, it's unlikely more than four wide receivers will see regular targets in Mike McDaniel's offense. If injuries hit, River Cracraft is a name who could make an impact.
Cracraft had 121 yards and a touchdown on nine catches last season, and he scored twice for the Dolphins in 2022. Don't expect Cracraft to be much more than depth, but McDaniel has coached him for the last four seasons between San Francisco and Miami and has kept him around for a reason.
6. Malik Washington
Washington was taken by the Dolphins in the sixth round of April's draft. The Virginia standout was widely expected to be a third- or fourth-round pick, so it's possible Miami gives him an opportunity to show what he can do if injuries hit.
An older, more experienced prospect, Washington broke through with 1,426 yards and nine touchdowns in an otherwise limited Virginia offense in 2023 after spending his first four seasons at Northwestern.

How old is Odell Beckham Jr.?
Beckham is 31 years old. He's set to turn 32 in early November.
It likely hasn't been easy for Beckham to accept reduced roles over the last few years, but wear-and-tear have forced his hand. He settled for a complementary role next to Cooper Kupp with the Rams in 2021 and later joined a Ravens offense that rarely allows any wide receiver to be a high-volume pass-catcher.
Now 31 and entering his 11th NFL season, Beckham appears to be fine with more of a part-time role if it means he has a chance to play for a contender.
